JAKE NARRO SECURES HIS 7TH GULF STATES PGA SECTION CHAMPIONSHIP TITLE AT BAYOU DE SIARD

MONROE, LA – SEPTEMBER 15, 2026: The 2026 Gulf States E-Z-GO Section Championship took place at Bayou De Siard Country Club from September 14-15th. 38 Class A PGA Professionals showed up for a two-day competition in the Louisiana heat. 

Jake Narro, PGA with Golf Cars of Louisiana, took home the Section Championship trophy with a score of 69-67–136 (-8). Kyle Ramey, PGA of Hattiesburg Country Club (68-71–139), was leading the field after the first day of the tournament, but ended up tying in second place with Greg Sonnier, PGA of Lake Charles Country Club (70-69–139). This marks the 7th time that Jake Narro has won the title of Gulf States PGA Section Champion since becoming a Member in 1996.

Narro shared later, “I got off to an incredible start. Birdied #2, eagled #3, and then birdied #4. And somehow or another I held it together the rest of the day. I hit good shots, I got good breaks, and I made some putts. And threw a little chip-in for a little icing on the cake.”

Jake Narro, PGA, also took home the Senior Division honors, with Clay Weems, PGA of Frenchman’s Bend Country Club (76-72–148) coming in second.
