Nicholas Arcement of Country Club of Louisiana is your 2026 Gulf States PGA Assistant Professional Champion. Winning in a thrilling 2-hole playoff against Ryan Fulton of Canebrake Country Club.
With the victory, Arcement qualifies for the 2026 National Assistant PGA Professional ...Championship which will take place on November 11-12 at PGA Golf Club in Port St Lucie, Florida. Joseph Dendy, Jared Smith, and Brayden Seguin also qualified as alternates for the event.
Shell Landing GC was a terrific host site for this championship, and we must thank Kenny Hughes, PGA, Benj Bostic, and Wes Leamon for their hospitality. Also a big thank you to Nate Kitson, PGA for another great year of the Assistant Championship Raffle and Summit.

The Gulf States Section, Professional Golfers’ Association of America, is an association of golf professionals whose mission is to promote interest, participation, and enjoyment in the game of golf; establish and maintain professional standards of practice; and enhance the well-being of golf professionals.
Strategic Objectives:
- Establish a collegial and supportive environment among PGA Members, including:–Organized Competition

The mission of the LJGT is to create more playing opportunities for ALL junior golfers in Louisiana and to do so at an affordable rate.

Total PDR per cycle = 54 Meeting/Education/Player Development/Professional Standards = 36
