He and Kari joined us that night at Acme Oyster House for the second round pairings party, an evening of fun, food and fellowship. A lasting memory for all of us!

What a beautiful, warm weekend we had at Laurel CC for this year's competition on Saturday & Sunday. Huge congrats to the MGA for taking home the Cup with a winning... score of 16.0-8.0! We look forward to trying our luck next year in trying to win the Cup back.

Team Mississippi takes the 2026 Mackel Cup with a 33-30 win over Team Louisiana. The competition & camaraderie were close knit throughout the two days at Bayou Oaks at City Park and Metaire Country Club.
The Annual Mackel Cup serves as our tribute to the great Frank Mackel, PGA. The Gulf States Section, Professional Golfers’ Association of America, is an association of golf professionals whose mission is to promote interest, participation, and enjoyment in the game of golf; establish and maintain professional standards of practice; and enhance the well-being of golf professionals.
Strategic Objectives:

Total PDR per cycle = 54 Meeting/Education/Player Development/Professional Standards = 36
