Choudrant, LA: The 2022 PING/Sterling Cut Glass Pro-Scratch Championship was held at Squire Creek Country Club on Monday, November 7th.

This 18-hole four-ball format included 49 teams, consisting of one PGA Professional and one amateur. Greg Sonnier, PGA from Lake Charles Country Club paired with Marcus Bougard to fire a round of 10-under-par, 62. Tied for second place 2 shots behind were teams Reg Adams, PGA/Robby McWilliams and Reed Hughes, PGA/Casey Hamm.

Greg Sonnier, PGA was also the low PGA Professional champion with a score of 7-under-par, 65. 

Sonnier commented later, “It’s a good field. It’s a strong field. We got off to a really good start birdieing our first 3 holes. It was nice to play it without so much stress from a major event. The course was in great shape, just excited to get to come here. It’s really a treat.”
