
The 2021 Gulf States PGA Jr. League Section Championship was held at Beau Chene Country Club on August 7th. The field was comprised of seven All-Star teams from Mississippi and Louisiana.
The PGA Jr. League Championship Season presented by National Car Rental is designed to celebrate the recreational spring/summer season held in March through July, as well as provide a fun and welcoming environment for the 19 percent of PGA Jr. League players who identify as competitive golfers. Following the regular season, 8-player All-Star teams were formed from a combination of players in each local league. The teams included Rob Noel Academy, New Orleans (Bayou Country Club & Ellendale Country Club), Baton Rouge, Jackson, Lake Charles, Shreveport (East Ridge Country Club & David Toms Academy 265), and Shell Landing. The Section Championship was the first of three phases in the National Car Rental PGA Jr. League Championship Season.
The Section Championship was 9-holes, stroke play, counting the best 3 out of 4 scores on each team. Shreveport won with a team score of 10-under par, 98. Lake Charles came next, with a final total of 5-under par, 103.
Team Shreveport will advance to the Regional at Kearney Hill Golf Links on September 10-12th, where they will play for a spot in the 2021 PGA Jr. League Championship presented by National Car Rental at the National Championship at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Arizona, Oct. 7-10th, 2021.

PGA Jr. League brings friends and families together around fun, co-ed team golf experiences, all with expert coaching and instruction from PGA and LPGA Professionals.
