Diamondhead, MS: The team of Avery Owens/Kyle Ramey, PGA has earned the honor of being named the 2021 ANTIGUA/Lorente Pro-Pro Champions with a team score of seven under, 65. This year’s Gulf States Section event was held at The Club at Diamondhead on Monday, April 19th.
Forty-three players gathered on a picture-perfect day for golf, forming 41 teams. There was a two-way tie for third place between the teams of Kyle Ramey, PGA/Gavin Vegas, PGA and Reed Hughes, PGA/Jake Narro, PGA with scores of five-under, 67. The team of Kyle Ramey, PGA/Greg Sonnier, PGA placed second with a score of six-under, 66.
Kyle later commented, “Avery and I did a good job of picking each other up when one of us was having a bad hole.” Avery added on, “We played well today. Kyle made some great birdies down the stretch. The course was also in great shape, so you could play aggressively.”
