Hattiesburg, MS: The Mississippi Chapter Championship was held at Hattiesburg Country Club this year. The contest included a Chapter Championship and Senior Chapter Championship with a total field of 30 players.

Reed Hughes, PGA from Senatobia, (72-70–142) was crowned Champion of the Regular and Senior Divisions of the Mississippi PGA. Greg Sonnier, PGA from Lake Charles Country Club, (65-71–136) was the low professional in the Regular Division.

Greg Sonnier, PGA and Rory Nelson, PGA (Windance Country Club) won the Round 2 High/Low Pro-Pro with 8-under, 64.

In a post-round interview, Reed Hughes stated, “I putted really well, I didn’t hit it that well, but I made most all my putts. The greens were great, the golf course was in good shape. It was nice to win this for the 8th time in 5 different decades! So that’s pretty neat.”
