Monroe, LA: The Gulf States PGA Jani-King Pro-Am was hosted at Bayou DeSiard Country Club on Monday, October 21st, 2024. The field consisted of 16, 4-person teams in a shamble format with low gross/low net scoring (1 PGA Professional & 3 Amateurs).

Team Champions included PGA Professional Greg Sonnier of Lake Charles Country Club, and Amateurs Marcus Bougard, Bill Cheek, and Rolf Morestead with a score of 15 under par. Coming in second place was Team Patin with 14 under par.

Congratulations to Nick Ellison, PGA of Bayou DeSiard Country Club for winning the Low PGA Professional with an even par, 72. 

In a post-round interview, Greg noted, “The course was in great shape and the greens were fast & pure. The most important thing for our team was to have fun and that helped us to get on top of the leaderboard. The beautiful fall weather today in Louisiana made the day even more memorable.”
