WEST POINT, MS – MARCH 30TH, 2026: Old Waverly & Mossy Oak Head Professional Eric Voss, PGA defended his home turf with his team of three amateurs by his side. Monday’s Pro-AM saw the return to the daunting Mossy Oak Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi, for the first time in a GSPGA Section event since 2019. With newly renovated greens and the already challenging layout, void of any trees to protect from the elements, Mossy Oak proved to be a real test for the 116 PGA Professionals and Amateurs who play in the event.

Voss and his team started strong and kept the lead for most of the day, fending off runs from the teams of Brad Thornton, Head Coach of Mississippi Gulf Coast, Sam Jeffcoat, of Tupelo CC, and Bobby Flanagan, PGA of Baton Rouge CC. Despite the challengers, -22 would be enough to take the overall win for Team Voss. Christian Guiterrez of Reunion G & CC would be your Low PGA Professional, winning a scorecard playoff against previously mentioned Sam Jeffcoat of Tupelo CC, both Professionals shot 1-under 71 on a very tough golf course.

The Gulf States PGA would like to thank Old Waverly & Mossy Oak General Manager Jim Clay, PGA, who very generously opened his doors and welcomed a large group of PGA Professionals and their guest. The facilities at Mossy Oak are some of the best our Section has to offer. We cannot thank him, Eric Voss, PGA, and Owner Jerry Pate, PGA, for being such a tremendous host for our event.

Lastly, a heartfelt thank you to tasc Performance. Dave Leville & Keelan McMillan have been great supporters of the Section. Based out of New Orleans, tasc is a hometown brand that truly cares about its community and the golfers within it. We appreciate their support and enjoy being able to partner with such a great local brand in the Gulf States PGA Section.

We look forward to seeing you at our next event, the GSPGA Stableford Four-Ball on April 20th at Canbrake Country Club in Hattiesburg, Mississippi!
