Madison, MS: The 10th Annual Gulf States PGA Sun Mountain/Yamaha 3-Pro named its champions for 2023 at Whisper Lake Country Club on Monday, May 8th. Joseph Hanko (Elm Lake Golf Course), Dylan Cash (Elm Lake Golf Course), and Bill Baker (Bayou De Siard Country Club) took the honors with a score of 15-under, 49. Kyle Ramey (Canebrake Country Club), Colby Blake (Canebrake Country Club), and Brad Thornton (Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College) came in second with a score of 14-under, 50. The field consisted of 13 teams.

The 18-hole event concluded with a 6-hole 3-person scramble sponsored by Yamaha showcasing the newly built par-3 course, “The Loop”, at Whisper Lake Country Club. Dustin Baker, Colton Ryan, and Mike Ladek won the shootout with 6-under.

Bill Baker later remarked, “It was all teamwork, with a lot of brother-in-lawing going on. First shot of the day hit the flag and dropped straight down.” Hanko added, “The course was great. It was a lot of fun for this format.”
