Casa De Campo: The 6th Annual Caribbean Pro-Am Championship took place at the Teeth of the Dog and Dye Fore courses from January 4-6th, 2023. The field consisted of 4, 4-person teams in a Low Gross/Low Net scoring format (a PGA Professional & 3 Amateurs).
Team Kyle Ellis (p), John Farese (a), David Calhoun (a), and Benton Smith (a) took first place with a three-round score of 28-under. This was their first time participating in the Caribbean Pro-Am, now in its 6th year.
Kyle commented later, “We had a blast. The golf course was everything we expected and more from a championship course setup. The guys played well and were able to hit a few clutch shots coming down the stretch to help seal the victory”. He later added, “We want to say thanks to Robert Birtel and his staff Casa de Campo, Gulf States PGA for putting this event on. We plan on coming back next year for sure”.
Our next tournament is The Mackel Cup on January 15th, 2024, at Bayou Oaks at City Park and Metairie Country Club. Best of luck to the Mississippi and Louisiana teams!
