Hattiesburg, MS: The American Seniors Benefit Stableford Four-Ball Championship was held at
Canebrake Country Club on Monday, April 22nd.
The sun came out and provided a beautiful spring day for the 21 Pro-Pro teams that showed up to play golf.
The Stableford points are awarded based on the number of strokes taken at each hole.
Double Eagle or better: 8 Points
Eagle: 5 Points
Birdie: 2 Points
Par: 0 Points
Bogey: -1 Point
Double Bogey or worse: -3 Points
Dustin Baker, PGA and Colton Ryan of Tchefuncta Country Club, ended the day with 15 points.
Price/Brannan, Allen/Kerr, and Carnes/Baker secured a tied second-place finish each with 12
points.
Ryan remarked, “The course was great, it was in good shape. We “ham and egged really well.”
Baker added, “Colton carried the load, and I just helped out when necessary.” A hole out for
birdie on a par 4 was considered to be the highlight of the day according to the team. Ryan
stated, “The hole out really kept our momentum going throughout the rest of the day and had
us pumped up.”
Reed Hughes, PGA of Senatobia, MS won the low-pro with a gross score of 2-under, 69.
