Vancleave, MS: The American Seniors Benefit Stableford Four-Ball Championship was held at The Preserve Golf Club on Monday, August 15th. Although the clouds gave little reprieve from the heat, 28 Pro-Pro teams showed up to play golf.

The Stableford points are awarded based on the number of strokes taken at each hole.

  • Double Eagle or better: 8 Points
  • Eagle: 5 Points
  • Birdie: 2 Points
  • Par: 0 Points
  • Bogey: -1 Point
  • Double Bogey or worse: -3 Points

Reg Adams, PGA, of Huntington Park Golf Course, and Robbie Gueringer, PGA, of OakWing Golf Club, ended the day with 16 points. Clay Weems, PGA, of Frenchman’s Bend Golf & Health Club, and Marshall Saxon, PGA, of Sunkist Country Club, came in second with a score of 15.

In a dual interview, Reg remarked, “It was a team effort, we rooted each other on, drank plenty of water. It was hot out there today. He picked me up when I needed to be picked up, and I picked him up when he needed to be picked up. So, it was a true team effort.” Robbie G added, “We had a good time today. Reg and I are good friends, we didn’t argue or anything.”

Reg Adams also won the low-pro with a gross score of 6-under, 65.
