METAIRIE, La. – The third annual Gulf States PGA Bushnell Three-Player Scramble presented by Yamaha named its champions for 2015 at Timberton Golf Club in Hattiesburg, Miss on Monday, March 30th. Out of twelve teams totaling thirty-six players, this year’s winners included PGA Professionals Marshall Saxon, Tyler Kuhn and PGA Apprentice Kyle Ramey.
Winning by three strokes, Marshall Saxon of Sunkist Country Club, Kyle Ramey of Windance, along with Tyler Kuhn of Gray Plantation joined forces to shoot 17-under-55.
“I had a blast playing with Kyle and Tyler,” said Saxon.
“It’s always great seeing some of the best sponsors in the business in Jeff with Yamaha and Josh with Bushnell, they are quality dudes! The course was in fantastic condition thanks to the staff at Timberton. And as always, we thank our Section Staff for all they do,” he added.
Kuhn said he was a last minute addition to the team and is excited to defend next year.
The winning team was able to eagle three holes and birdie eleven holes.
“It was an extremely fun event, especially when you play that well.” said Saxon. “We all contributed and took the pressure off one another.”
PGA Professionals from Tupelo Country Club Chris Harder and Ross Milne along with PGA Professional Joseph Hanko of Elm Lake took the runners-up position finishing the day at 14-under-58.
