Allen & Price Win 2015 Antigua/Haas-Jordan Pro-Pro Championship

METAIRIE, La. – PGA Professionals Anthony Price and Billy Allen have earned the honor of being named the 2015 Gulf States PGA Antigua/Haas-Jordan Pro-Pro Champions after edging out their fellow players at this year’s Section event held at The Preserve Golf Club in Vancleave, Ms. on May 18, 2015.

Thirty-nine players gathered on this picture-perfect day, forming thirty-eight teams looking to claim the win. However, it was the team of PGA Assistant Professional Anthony Price of Eagle Ridge Golf Club and PGA Apprentice Billy Allen of Deerfield Golf Club that would take it all after earning a team score of 6-under-65.

Three teams trailed the winners by one strokes to tie for second at 5-under-66.

“They played perfect team golf,” said Brandon Roll, Tournament Director of the Gulf States PGA. He added, “when one player made a mistake the other made par or birdie on the same hole.”

“The golf course was in fantastic shape. Thanks to Chris Champagne and Derrick Goff for letting us come out to the event,” said Price.

Price added, “We would like to thank Dan and Kitty Peoples for their sponsorship along with Antigua, Haas-Jordan, and Lorente.”

The Gulf States PGA Section wishes to thank the event sponsors, Dan and Kitty Peoples of Antigua and Haas-Jordan, as well as Lorente and Brooks Brothers for providing a first-class event to all who participated. Yo-Yo Rosario of Lorente and John Anderson of Antigua were also on site to help support the event. The Section also thanks PGA Head Professional Chris Champagne and PGA Assistant Professional Derrick Goff along with the staff at The Preserve Golf Club for all of their help in preparing for this tournament.
