Beck Troutman Wins the Gulf States Assistant Championship Presented by National Rental Car and Cobra/ Puma Golf

(Metairie, LA) – Beck Troutman of Fernwood, MS won the National Car Rental Gulf States PGA Assistant Championship presented by COBRA PUMA GOLF August 12-13 at The University Club in Baton Rouge, LA

By winning, Troutman qualified for the 37th National Car Rental PGA Assistant Championship presented by COBRA PUMA GOLF, Oct.  31 – Nov. 3, at PGA Golf Club (Wanamaker Course) in Port St. Lucie, Fla. The facility will be hosting its eighteenth consecutive PGA Assistant Championship.

Troutman, posted a final-round 68 for a tournament total of 135 and a 6-stroke victory over Kyle Ramey of Gulfport, MS

The 126-man field for this year’s 37th edition of the PGA Assistant Championship consists of the top-4 finishers from last year’s Championship, if eligible, as well assistant’s and apprentices from a weighted average of total entries of the 41 PGA Sections.

The winner of the 37th National Car Rental PGA Assistant Championship presented by COBRA PUMA GOLF earns $9,000 out of a total purse of $100,000. The top-70 finishers and ties after the second round, will make the cut.
